We helped a client build next generation mobile responsive cloud based online mobile bus ticketing platform through our business transformation solution.

Client is an Indian travel aggregator that specializes in bus travel throughout India by selling bus tickets. The client wanted to build online bus ticketing platform to enable

  • Passengers to book bus tickets online from a website or mobile app
  • Travel agents to book one or more tickets for their customers
  • Online payment through integration with various payment gateways, wallets, etc
  • Aggregating inventory from external bus service providers
  • Bus operators to manage their inventory online and sell tickets
  • Stakeholders to generate various reports

We initiated a business transformation initiative and performed a detailed study of the client’s requirement to design a comprehensive online bus ticketing platform. The platform built had the following features

  • End User and Agent portal
    Responsive Web Application where users can quickly search for the available buses for their travel. The application provides intuitive user experience through which users can quickly search buses for a selected source and destination, preferred date of travel, preferred seat and make online payment using multiple payment options. Ability to cancel a booked ticket and get refunds processed online. Email/print ticket.
  • Aggregation of Bus inventory from 8 different API providers including few state owned road transport services.
  • Enable passengers to review and rate the service
  • Bus operator module for managing own inventory
    Operators have the facility for creating routes, defining schedule for the buses. Define dynamic seat layout and track the booking status.
  • Coupon & Wallet Module for providing rewards and discounts for registered customers.
  • Offline Inventory of about 4 million services
  • Payment Integration with 40 banks and 10 wallets
  • Bus tracking module – Live tracking of the bus
  • Android Mobile App for ticket booking
  • REST API for external customer integrations
  • Customized reports for admin and agent users
